John Chapin was the Vice President, Finance for Kaiser Aerospace & Electronics Corporation where he worked for 33 years. He is also retired from the United States Naval Reserves. John was Captain in the Supply Corps. He has a BS degree in Accounting from San Diego State University and an MBA from Golden Gate University.

David Hunt is an Incorporating Partner, President and Principal Architect for Hunt Caraway Architects, Ltd. Dave's company specializes in educational facility planning and design, and public safety facilities. He is the Architect of Record for more than 300 projects. He is a member of the Council of Educational Facility Planners International and was President of the Southwest Region in 1998. Dave has won numerous awards and honors for his architectural, civic and educational work.

Vernon Laverty is President of IDEAS. Prior to his appointment in December 2007, Vernon was Chairman of the Board and has served on IDEAS Board since its inception. Vernon joined Hewlett-Packard in 1977 and over the course of his 30 year business career, gained experience in Sales, Sales Management, Service Management, Operations and Call Centers both in the US and globally. When Hewlett-Packard spun off Agilent Technologies as a separate company in 1999, Vernon held the position of Agilent's World Wide Sales, Marketing and Customer Services Engineering Manager. Vernon earned his Bachelor's in Chemistry from Queens University in Belfast, Northern Ireland. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Trax Technologies in Scottsdale, AZ. TraxTech provides a scalable and flexible solution for Freight Payment and Freight Rating to their valued Fortune 500 customers worldwide.

Bud Lindstrand retired in 1998 as CEO of ODS Health Plan, a $400 million Oregon health insurance company. He now gives his time to many charitable and civic activities including the Oregon Health Sciences Foundation, a variety of arts organizations and as Board Chair of the American Symphony Orchestra League. Previously he was Board Chair of Delta Dental Plans Association, a nationwide health insurance trade association. Bud has a BA in History from Northwestern College, completed the course work for an MA at University of Oregon and graduated from Harvard Business School.

Mike has a broad background and experience in business, business start-up, software development and information technology. He holds a BS Electrical Engineering degree from University of Idaho. Mike has worked in software management for Texas Instruments and Energy Systems Technology, Denver and was a founding partner in two software development companies, Spectrum Systems and Tabernus. Currently Mike is the IT Manager for SpeeCo in Golden, Colorado.

Dave Shaw retired in 2008 as Vice President, Global Sourcing of Goodrich Corporation. He worked for 36 years in the aerospace industry in finance, manufacturing, systems, supply chain, and general management for Goodrich, Rohr Industries, and Lockheed. Dave has a BS in Economics from California State University, Northridge and an MBA from the University of Southern California.
