Tony Hoffman in North Africa

"Though the hurts and needs in North Africa are often overwhelming, it is exciting to be part of the solution." Tony Hoffman uses his skills in nursing to serve the poor and forgotten in Mauritania.

"I became a nurse because I wanted to use my skills to serve God overseas.  When my wife and I were looking for an organization, IDEAS stood out because of their holistic approach.  God made us mind, body and spirit.  And the needs we saw in Africa were both physical and spiritual.

Working at a clinic in Mauritania, I felt privileged to demonstrate God's love for the poor and forgotten in tangible ways.  Through the compassionate ministry of health care, I felt connected to God's redemptive work in Africa.

IDEAS' work in North Africa centers around the needs of forgotten people groups:  the poor, neglected, mentally handicapped...

Though the hurts and needs in North Africa are often overwhelming, it is exciting to be part of the solution."
