Magali Rapson
A life-long advocate of social justice, Magali has worked with both victims of human trafficking and former refugees. She is experienced in rescue operations, providing victim care, networking with government and police, fundraising, and awareness raising.
Magali was a Free for Life International Board member from October 2021 to 2023. Magali is also on the International Board of EverWell, a United States-based organization that runs a scholarship program for survivors of human trafficking.
She also facilitates an Education Prevention Program and has delivered training workshops with selected partner organizations in countries including Bolivia, Colombia, Chile, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, India, Mexico, New Zealand, Thailand, and the United States.
Since 2022, Magali has been a consultant to Red Rope, an Indian anti-trafficking NGO, with whom she has started a repatriation program been for international human trafficking survivors in New Delhi. From November 2023 Magali has been supporting the establishment of a new anti-trafficking project based in Chile.
Magali was also invited to write an article on the topic of human trafficking by the Perna magazine, an annual magazine from SIES college in Mumbai, published in September 2023
From 2013-18 Magali worked for two organizations in Bangkok, Thailand: ‘Night Light International’ and ‘The Well’. She worked with trafficking survivors from Africa and Latin America, as well as women from Thailand, focusing on interventions, restoration, and repatriation.
Magali was born in Bolivia, has lived in New Zealand and Thailand, and now resides in India. She is a keen networker, loves to teach Zumba, and enjoys meeting people from different cultures. She studied Nursing and has a Diploma in Psychology.
