IDEAS has a long-standing partnership with a like-minded, local development organization working to bring about transformation in the lives of people in North Africa. They focus on those who are marginalized, vulnerable or disadvantaged. Areas of project focus are rural populations, people with disabilities, individuals and families in vulnerable situations, and palliative care.
Thousands of new associations were created after the revolution in 2011. The needs depend on the association but often involve organizational development, mentoring and or coaching, and training in that associations specific field. We are looking for a capacity-building expert to join our work in building the capacity of local associations. Job duties could include:
- Build the capacity of local associations through coaching, mentoring and training
- Planning, implementing and evaluating projects
- Networking and building relationships with local officials, associations and other actors Within the team and sector:
- Participate in team and sector meetings, conferences and other events
- Support team and sector, for instance through hospitality
- Communicating and reporting, i.e. through presentations, reports and stories
- Follow ACT procedures and guidelines
- Participate in an annual review of work and team life.
